Who We Are

WCET – WICHE Cooperative for Educational Technologies

WCET is the national leader in the practice, policy, & advocacy of technology enhanced learning in higher education. WCET is a national, member-driven, non-profit which brings together colleges and universities, higher education organizations and companies to collectively improve the quality and reach of of technology-enhanced learning programs.

WCET has a long and successful history in fostering collaborative projects, information sharing, and networking among some of the country’s most established and innovative postsecondary institutions. The cooperative was founded in 1989 WCET was founded by the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE), whose programs serve diverse priorities throughout and beyond the American West. The cooperative was founded to meet a growing need to integrate distance learning and educational technology into the academic services of higher education institutions in the western region. From our western roots, the work of WCET has grown to serve members across the U.S. and Canada. We invite you to learn more about membership and consider joining.
